OLC (Europe) Ltd (The College) is an Independent Further and Higher Education Institution, registered with QAA and UKPRN operating in Manchester, Bolton, Oldham and London in the UK. The College provides notable scholarship, education, professional training and research for both UK and overseas students, in a range of Leadership and Management, Teacher Training and Engineering disciplines. The College is committed to widening participation by promoting educational opportunities for mature and alternatively qualified students, as well as, for college and school leavers, who are more traditionally qualified.
The College is accredited and certified to run education provision with approvals from British Accreditation Council, Pearson EDEXCEL, QAA, IOSH, CIEH, ISO 9001: 2015, LRQA, The College of Teachers, Chartered Institute of Credit Management and many other professional bodies.
The College works closely with UK Public Colleges and UK Universities on the provision of Level 4 and Level 5 graduate Business programmes and has a continuing partnership with Sunderland College to deliver Level 4 and Level 5 Health and Social Care programmes (from November 2017) and with NCG (from 2020) to provide Top-up Degrees in Business Management Degrees and Health and Social Care.
In pursuit of overseas collaborations OLC have continued membership with BUSINET, a group of over 100 international HEIs and has also signed Memorandums of Understanding with Chinese, Polish and Russian Universities.
Established in 1998 by Dr Chris Bamber, Professor John Sharp and Dr Mick Hides.
Awarded Delivery Partner status for the NCG Four Year Degree programme in both Business and in Healthcare, giving OLC students a four year pathway to a honours degree.
Partnered with Trafford College Group and Trafford College to deliver Teacher Training Level 5 across four campuses and HND Healthcare Practice in London.
World Class upgrade of electrical and computing systems in Bolton HQ Campus.
Achieved Approved Provider Status for the Ministry of Defence’s Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS).
Became primary sponsor for Preston Strikers Cricket Club, with membership of more than 450 players, this is a grass roots cricketing initiative for the local communities.
Franchise agreement signed with Tyne Coast College to deliver HNC/HND in Computing.
Computer labs and Computing facilities up graded to world class levels.
Joined the British Forces Resettlement Services (BFRS) as a Platinum Member in support of the Armed Forces Community education and resettlement activities.
